JENNIFER STIELOW JOINS ALPINE CANADA AS SENIOR MANAGER, COACH EDUCATION

Calgary, Alta. (January 4, 2017) – Alpine Canada announced today that Jennifer Stielow has joined in the position of Senior Manager, Coach Education.

In this newly created position, Jennifer Stielow will provide leadership in the areas of coach education, long-term athlete development, strategic coaching initiatives, and coaching curriculum. Her long-term goal of enhancing coach expertise across the country is directly aligned with Alpine Canada’s Strategic Plan.

 “The effective integration of the Canadian Ski Coach Federation (CSCF) into Alpine Canada was a critical initiative that we targeted,” said Nick Bass, Alpine Canada Chief Operating Officer. “We have great confidence that Jennifer complements the strengths of our staff and will help lead Canada to the next level in coach education.”

Dusan Grasic, Director of Domestic Sport welcomes Jennifer’s experience to Alpine Canada saying, “Alpine Canada went through an exhaustive search and there were many candidates considered. We are extremely confident that Jennifer’s experience, education, and passion for alpine skiing will be a huge asset to developing ski racing in Canada. I’m a big believer in creating a strong team and Jennifer is a perfect fit within our group.”

Jennifer Stielow comes with a rare combination of international sport-specific expertise through her time with USSA, the British Ski Academy and Australian Paralympic team. This sport-specific experience, combined with a background in education and curriculum design, will enhance our coach education department greatly. Jennifer Stielow’s skill set is ideal for Alpine Canada and will provide the expertise needed to help our organization get to the next level.
