NIK ZORICIC FOUNDATION PROVIDES ALPINE CANADA B-NETTING TO REWARD DOMESTIC CLUBS

Calgary, Alta. (March 1, 2017) – The Nik Zoricic Foundation is partnering with Alpine Canada to provide $15,000 in B-netting to two local ski clubs hosting Nor-Ams and other major domestic events this season. This partnership demonstrates Alpine Canada’s continued commitment to the next generation of ski racing development and The Nik Zoricic Foundation’s tireless dedication to raising the bar for safety at ski racing events in Canada.

As part of this partnership, The Nik Zoricic Foundation will be named an official sponsor of the Canadian Nor-Am Cup tour. Alpine Canada sought out this partnership as a way to show support and appreciation for domestic ski clubs hosting Nor-Am races and other major events. The future of Canadian ski racing is fostered at these events and Alpine Canada wishes to acknowledge their efforts and accomplishments.

“Alpine Canada is proud to partner with The Nik Zoricic Foundation in support of their commitment to providing exemplary safety at all ski races,” said Nick Bass, Chief Operation Officer, Alpine Canada. “The clubs and race organizing committees that host our Nor-Ams and other major domestic events are key partners in Canadian ski racing. We are hoping this partnership will help recognize the great work these clubs are doing.”

The two clubs will be selected following the 2016-17 season and each club will receive B-netting worth $7,500.

"The Nik Zoricic Foundation is excited about this partnership that puts athlete safety at the forefront of these events,” said Silvia Zoricic, President, The Nik Zoricic Foundation. “Together with Alpine Canada, we strive to ensure all race and training environments are safe for all athletes."
