Serwa demonstrated incredible determination and perseverance as she fought back from a succession of knee surgeries to claim a silver medal at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, just behind her gold medal-winning teammate Marielle Thompson. Serwa’s incredible flair for ski cross was a powerful revelation to ACA since she transferred from alpine competition in 2008. She won her first World Cup race in January 2010 and has been on the rise since. Serwa has racked up 18 World Cup podiums along with gold medals at the 2011 X Games and the 2011 Ski Cross World Championships. Serwa missed the majority of the 2015-16 season but came back to the circuit looking like she never left, where she had had two podium finishes and took home the gold medal at the X Games. Serwa grew up in Kelowna, B.C. where her grandfather was a co-founder of her local hill, Big White Ski Resort.
