About
At her core, Amelia Smart is a team player. Highlighting Laurence St-Germain’s slalom World Championship title in 2023 as her favourite ski moment, the 27-year-old has developed into one of Canada’s premier ski racers in an exciting era for Canadian tech.
The Invermere, BC native had a breakout season on the World Cup in 2021-22, earning her first top-10 finishes at the highest level through the first three months of 2022. In Schladming, AUT, she finished 9th in slalom before capturing another top-10 finish in Courchevel, FRA, in March.
Since then, she finished 8th in a 2023 slalom in Zagreb, CRO in 2023, and cracked the top 30 six times in 2023-24, before grabbing a top-20 finish with a 17th-place result in the Flachau slalom in 2025.
With good form on the slopes over the last few seasons, Smart is now looking to take the step towards podium contention in the 2025-26 Olympic season.
