About
Brittany Phelan has been to the Olympics three times -- in two different sports. Her Olympic debut came as part of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team in 2014, where she competed in slalom. After the 2014 games, she switched to ski cross and has continued to build momentum and earn podium results since. Phelan, alongside Kelsey Serwa, nicknamed “The Dirt Squirrels,” charged their way to gold and silver medals at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.
Yet, it’s not been all about the Olympic stage for the Mont-Tremblant, Quebec native, who has established herself among the greats on the World Cup circuit. The now 34-year-old finished the 2018-19 season third on the World Cup circuit and did so again in 2023-24.
2023-24 was one of her best years, with eight podium finishes, including wins in Idre Fjall, SWE, and Reiteralm, AUT, and a home snow medal, third in Nakiska. In total, she enters the 2025-26 season with 78 World Cup starts, highlighted by two wins and 20 podiums.
Healthy for another season, and having put up the best year of her career, Phelan returns to the Canadian contingent as a critical veteran in 2025-26, hoping to claim her first Crystal Globe and her fourth Olympic ticket.
