About

Hannah, the older half of the Canadian Ski Cross Team’s Schmidt siblings, has been tearing it up for several seasons. Although her 2018-19 season ended with an injury, the rest was exceptional, but her breakout in 2023-24 has changed her course.

After rehabbing injuries through 2018-19 and part of 2020, she hit her top potential in 2023-24, winning three races in Arosa, SUI and Nakiksa, AB and adding two third-place finishes on her way to a fourth-place finish in the overall ranking.

She continued that form in 2024-25 as well, finishing third in Arosa and Reiteralm, AUT, before claiming victory in the second race on the Austrian slope, bringing her to a career total of four wins.

In December 2023, one of those four wins, she stood atop the podium alongside her brother Jared, who captured the win in the men’s race.

Now as a consistent threat, she looks for more hardware in 2025-26, while also eyeing a second Olympic Games.
