About
Cranbrook’s India Sherret is one of the top racers on the Canadian Ski Cross team, and she only discovered the sport at 13. Sherret’s introduction to skiing came in cross-country, and she did not start alpine racing until she was 10, all before discovering ski cross at 13. Since then, she has dominated the Nor-Am circuit and the World Junior Championships, leading to her joining the World Cup team in 2017-18.
While Sherret earned her first two podium finishes in 2018 and 2019 with third-place finishes in Idre Fjall, SWE, and Val Thorens, FRA, she broke out in 2023-24 with three podium finishes, highlighted by her first World Cup win in Alleghe, ITA. To close the season, she also claimed third and second in Veysonnaz, SWI, and Idre Fjall.
Her success continued to rise in 2024-25, where she outdid her 2023-24 season with six World cup podium finishes, including wins in Reiteralm, AUT and Val Thorens, FRA, while also qualifying for the small final at the World Championships.
