Ski Cross

Kaleb Barnum

About

It didn’t take long for Kaleb Barnum to find himself enthralled by the idea of ski cross. At just six years old, he shared the chairlift at Blue Mountain in Collingwood, ON with four members of the Swiss Ski Cross team, and was immediately hooked.

The native of Fernie, BC currently balances racing for the Canadian NextGen Ski Team with his studies in Biomechanics at the University of Calgary, where he has been a member of the University of Calgary Dinos ski team. In the offseason, he also works for the Canadian Coast Guard as a member of the Inshore Rescue Boat student program

On the snow, he enters 2025-26 with a single World Cup start and with plenty of experience at the junior level, where he won the 2024 World Junior Ski Cross Championship in Idre Fjall, SWE and finished fifth at the World University Games in Bardonechia, ITA.

This season, he looks to build on his World Cup experience, while also continuing to compete at the highest level of the NorAm circuit, where he has twice raced to the podium.
