About
When Kevin Drury charges down a racecourse, he is a force to be reckoned with. His technical skill is astounding, but his strength and power put him above and beyond the rest. “Quadzilla,” as his teammates call him, switched to ski cross after a star-studded NCAA alpine career.
A Canadian Ski Cross team member since 2016, Kevin quickly adapted from racing the clock in alpine to competing in head-to-head competition in Ski Cross. With Team Canada, he has earned 18 World Cup podiums, including a silver medal at home in Nakiska in 2022 and seven during the 2019-20 season, leading him to be crowned the Overall FIS SX Crystal Globe Winner that season —a feat never before awarded to a Canadian male. Topping off his 2019-20 season, Drury also won Alpine Canada’s Ski Cross Male Athlete of the Year.
While he battled some injuries, his ninth season on the World Cup in 2024-25 was among his best, as he finished third five times for his first podium appearances since 2022. The results pushed him to seventh in the overall World Cup ranking by season’s end.
The now 37-year-old is one of the team's veteran leaders, particularly after the retirement of 2014 Olympic Champion Brady Leman. Entering his 10th season on the ski cross World Cup tour in 2025-26, Drury continues to aim for the podium, while also targeting a third Olympic appearance.
