About
Samuel Peters joins the Canadian Para Alpine Ski Team for his rookie season in 2025-26, stepping onto the top international stage at 17 years old. Hailing from Kelowna, BC, Peters began sit-skiing at six years old and has since developed through the sport at Big White Ski Resort in Kelowna.
He only came to the sport by chance, though, after crossing paths with a volunteer from Powderhounds Adaptive Program in a grocery store, who invited him to give sit skiing a try, eventually leading to his competitive skiing debut in 2022 as a 15-year-old.
Peters made his World Cup debut at the final stop of the tour‘s 2024-25 season in Veysonnaz, SUI, finishing 21st in the giant slalom to write the first chapter of what he hopes to be a lengthy and successful career on the World Cup, World Championship and Paralympic stage.
