About
Whistler, BC’s Sascha Gilbert becomes the latest from his famed ski town to make the Canadian national ski team, as he prepares for the 2025-26 season.
In 2024-25, he raced as a member of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team’s development team and continued his experience on the Nor-Am and Europa Cup circuits, as he eyes his World Cup debut this season.
At the Nor-Am level, he has 70 starts and has cracked the top-10 four times since making his debut in 2022, highlighted by two sixth-place finishes in a super-G and downhill in Kimberley, BC, in 2025.
While not at the youth level anymore, Gilbert competed twice for Canada at the FIS World Junior Alpine Skiing Championships, in Haute-Savoie, FRA, in 2024, and Taraviso, ITA, in 2025.
