Get in TouchCalgary, Alta. (February 27, 2026) — Alpine Canada has announced the seven athletes selected to represent Canada at the FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championship in Narvik (NOR), March 5th through 15th.


The athletes, under the age of 21, were selected using criteria that includes world ranking, world ranking by age, as well as performance in the Nor-Am Series. The team has four returnees from the 2025 Junior Worlds: Amélie Bourgeois, Estelle Martin, and Kendra Giesbrecht all competing in their third Junior Worlds, and Jake Kertez-Knight racing in his second.
“Congratulations to these young athletes and also to the people who support them including their coaches, clubs, provincial ski associations and families,” said Jeff Thompson, SVP Domestic Sport Programs & Events, Alpine Canada. “The majority of these athletes are involved with Alpine Canada’s Project Excel and the CAST D program.It is also exciting to see athletes identify themselves through their performances coming from other program.ACA continues to be proud of the collaboration between the Provincial Ski Associations and ACA in helping our athletes with opportunities such as this to assist in their development.”
