Alpine Canada Statement on Canadian National Ski Team Member Cameron Alexander
February 7, 2025 – During the second downhill training at the 2025 FIS World Ski Championships in Saalbach (AUT) on Thursday February 6th, Cameron Alexander (North Vancouver, BC) landed awkwardly after getting compressed coming over a roller on the upper part of the course. Alexander regained his balance and skied down to the finish.
Experiencing pain in his knee, Alexander was examined by the team doctor and the medical staff at the local hospital. Following the examination, it has been determined that Alexander will not be competing at these world championships, and that he will be returning to Canada for further evaluation by team medical specialists to determine the next course of action.
