Canadian Para-Alpine Ski Team kicks of season with strong week in Mammoth
It has been an exciting week for the Canadian Para-Alpine Ski Team as they started their competition season at Mammoth Mountain in California with NorAm races. The weather was beautiful for the week of racing under blue bird skies. Wind played a factor in the results and the snow was soft, but the field of athletes from around the world used the races as a last step of preparation before the World Cup season kicks off in January. The Canadian Para-Alpine athletes excelled in all disciplines with podium performances from Sarah Gillies (Orangeville, ON), Kurt Oatway (Calgary, AB) and Alexis Guimond (Gatineau, QC).
