DALE OF NORWAY OFFICIAL SWEATER FOR CANADIAN SKI CROSS TEAM

WILLISTON, VT. (November 1, 2016) – Dale of Norway is the official team sweater for the World Cup Canadian Ski Cross Team for the 2016 – 2017 season.  Dale of Norway, rich in World Cup and Olympic history, recently presented the team with the official sweater.

Dale of Norway presented the Lillehammer Sweater as the official sweater of the World Cup Canadian Ski Cross team at a recent kickoff event for Canadian World Cup alpine, para-alpine, and ski cross teams.  The World Cup Canada Ski Cross Team is made up of eight athletes: Chris Del Bosco, Kevin Drury, Dave Duncan, Mathieu Leduc, Brady Leman, Kelsey Serwa, Georgia Simmerling and Marielle Thompson. The team ended their season last year ranked number one in the world with numerous podium wins and medals to their name.

"The long-standing partnership between Dale of Norway and the Canadian Ski Cross Team brings immense pride to our athletes and organization,” says Linsey Ferguson, VP Partnerships at Alpine Canada Alpine.  "The quintessential, mountain chic style that Dale of Norway brings forward year after year, continuously makes theses sweaters and hats favorite pieces within our teams apparel.  From traveling to competition venues, to media interviews, Dale of Norway sweaters are our athletes go-to selection, ensuring a professional and comfortable presence.”

The Lillehammer Sweater was originally designed as the official sweater for the Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer in 2016 and inspired by the Dale Olympic Lillehammer sweater in 1994.  The Lillehammer Sweater is 100% skin soft Merino wool, making it ideal as a first or second layer. Dale of Norway has designed official sweaters for every Winter Olympics and World Ski Championships since the 1956 Cortina Winter Olympic Games.

“We are thrilled to be the official sweater of the Canadian Ski Cross team and to continue our involvement in World Cup skiing,” commented Caroline Grimsley, Sales Manager, Dale North America.  “The Canadian team personifies excellence, a characteristic that Dale of Norway shares.”
