Racing in challenging conditions today with fresh snow and dense fog, Eriksson and Smith were a model of consistency placing third in the first run and following that up with a third place in the second run. The Canadian ski team will leave these Games with five medals.

“We told ourselves to just have fun and enjoy the race today and it worked out well for us” said Eriksson. “The conditions were challenging with all the snow and the ruts. A huge thank you to the course crew, I can’t believe the amount of work they put in to get this race going.”

“We got into the start gate and we talked about really working closely together and to race super close to each other to deal with the conditions,” said Smith. “This is what we trained for and I think we had some good tactics.”

"I’m proud of how we moved through every single day of these Games enjoying ourselves and having fun,” added Smith. “There were lots of good moments, as well as some tough moments, but we were proud of each other the entire time.”
