With many of the Canadian ski team’s training around Europe in preparation for the World Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo, ITA the spotlight will be on the men’s speed team in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, GER. After Marie-Michèle Gagnon’s third-place podium last weekend in the super-G the men will look to build on her success and see what they can do.

The men’s weekend of the historic 68th Kandahar in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, GER races kick off Friday with the downhill. Jeff Read, who had his first World Cup points in the downhill in December looks to keep moving up the ranks in the downhill leading an eager team of Canadian racers.

The super-G on Saturday will feature Jack Crawford, who is coming off a 6th place finish in Kitzbühel, AUT in late January. Jack will charge the super-G course with confidence with a career best result under his belt this season.

Jack and Jeff will be joined by Broderick Thompson, Brodie Seger and Ben Thomsen.
