Lance Uggla Appointed to Alpine Canada Board of Directors

Calgary, AB (April 20, 2026) - Alpine Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Lance Uggla to its Board of Directors. Lance joins the board on a one-year term at the start of this Olympic quadrennial, and he will be recommended to the membership for election to a three-year term at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on October 23rd 2026.

A proud Canadian, Lance Uggla is Vice Chairman of General Atlantic and CEO of Beyond Net Zero, a climate and sustainability focused fund, which he co-founded in 2022.  Before joining General Atlantic, Lance was Chairman and CEO at IHS Markit, the global information company, which he founded in 2003, took public in 2014, and led the merger of equals with IHS in 2016.  In 2022, he merged IHS Markit with S&P Global at a value of $44 billion.  Earlier in his career, he held executive roles at both Toronto Dominion Bank and The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Lance earned his BBA at Simon Fraser University and his MSc at the London School of Economics.
