After Erin Mielzynski’s incredible fifth place in Zagreb, CRO last weekend followed by Erik Read’s 25th place finish yesterday on the same hill, the tech experts of Team Canada are ready for more racing.
The men’s team now moves on to Adelboden, SUI for two giant slaloms and a slalom race. Erik who finished in 11th spot in the slalom on this course last year will lead the Canadian contingent into the busy weekend of racing.
Erik will be joined by Trevor Philp, Simon Fournier and Riley Seger.
Over in St. Anton, AUT Marie-Michèle Gagnon looks to hold it down for Canada as she gets back on the long boards with a shot at the downhill and super G. Mitch will look to build on her career-best 10th place finish in Val d’Isère, FRA at the end of 2020.
With 100 top-30 World Cup finishes and a top 10 in all five discipline Mitch is ready to bring the heat to 2021.
Still flying high off her fifth-place finish Erin and the women’s tech team will move onto Flachau, AUT early next week in a race Erin, Laurence St-Germain and Ali Nullmeyer all finished top-20 at last year under the lights.
