Calgary, AB (December 21, 2019) – Due to heavy rain and snowfall the final heats of the Ski Cross from Innichen, Italy has been cancelled and the qualification results will stand as the official race results.

With the results from qualification Canada picks up another two podium finishes. Kevin Drury picks up his third 1stplace finish of the Cross Alps Tour, solidifying his leader bib on the tour.

“Yesterday was a battle. Just trying to keep it as smooth as possible through all those big holes and ruts. Always happy to win a quali. Landing on the podium always feels good, doesn’t matter really how, still feels good” Drury said of the cancelled race today.

With the finish Britt Phelan has her first podium of the World Cup season, a 3rd place finish.

“Always good to ski fast in quali’s in case this happens. Pretty happy to have put down a good run and hopefully still have a chance to race tomorrow” said Phelan.
