National Ski Team member Liam Wallace suffered serious injuries on Friday February 9th during official giant slalom training for the FIS Ski World Cup at Bansko, Bulgaria.
Liam had a fall during training and his injuries occurred when he struck a tree after sliding under fencing. He was helicoptered off the mountain to hospital in Sofia where he received treatment for a concussion and for serious injuries to his ribs, lungs, and spleen.
On Wednesday February 21st Liam was transported by air ambulance to Calgary. He is now continuing his recovery in hospital in Calgary where he is receiving the best of care supported by his family and Alpine Canada.
