Julien Petit grew up ski racing in Bromont. QC, but never reached the international level. Yet, when it came time to help out Logan Leach as a guide, it was an opportunity too good to pass up, as he moved west and layered on the guiding role to his work as a bike mechanic.

Enjoying biking in his spare time, he joined up with Logan, and the two formed a strong bond over the COVID-19-impacted year of 2020-21, as the Canadian para-alpine team focused entirely on training and building connections.

In 2021-22, the pair entered the world of international racing, testing themselves among the world’s best, having learned from one of the elite visually impaired alpine duos, also on the Canadian team, in Mac Marcoux and Tristan Rodgers.
