Para-Alpine Athlete
Based out of Collingwood, ON, Katie began skiing at two years old and made Craigleith Ski Club her home for years. An outdoor enthusiast, she's at home in the mountains either rock climbing, hiking or living out of her van (when she's not strapping into her ski of course). She's the newest member of the Canadian Para-Alpine Ski Team after joining in 2021, first learning to sit ski in 2018 and training with the Ontario para ski team in 2019. She has also been pursuing her medical education simultaneously, graduating from Queen’s University in 2016 and medical school in Dublin in 2021. In 2021-22, she competed in her first World Para Snow Sports Championships in 2022, claiming three medals, and competed in her first Paralympic Games in Beijing.
