At just 17 years old, Rebecca Pelkey is entering her first season with the Canadian national ski team in 2025-26.
The Bragg Creek, AB native came up through the Calgary Alpine Racing program, and has quickly developed into one of her nation’s top ski racing prospects. In the fall of 2025, she took on her first national team camp at El Colorado Resort in Chile, where she began to settle into the top level of the sport.
Like many other Canadian skiers before her, Pelkey has attended the Burke Mountain Academy, where she has been able to elevate her ski racing potential while also focusing on academics.
Through the early stages of her career, she has already amassed 35 Nor-Am Cup starts in a wide array of slalom, giant slalom and super-G, highlighted by a fifth-place finish in Lake Louise in January 2025.
