Canadian Para-Alpine Ski Team Closes Out First World Cup Stop on Top

Calgary, AB (January 11, 2020) – After five days of racing at the World Para-Alpine Skiing World Cup in Veysonnaz, Switzerland the Canadian Para-Alpine Ski Team closed out the WC stop on top. The team, who have seen enormous success to kick off the 2020 World Cup season were ready for the last day of races. Mac Marcoux (Sault-Ste Marie, ON) with Guide Tristan Rodgers (Ottawa, ON) completed the gold medal sweep with another first place performance in the second day of giant slalom.

The team looks to build on the momentum as they head to Prato Nevoso, ITA next week. 

“We’re happy with the first week of racing in 2020, we still have a lot to learn and work towards. First world cups have been successful, happy with the strong showing of our leaders but hungry for more. We’re looking forward to Kranjska Gora and the rest of the season” said Head Coach Jean-Sébastien Labrie of his teams start to the season.
