Despite comprehensive planning and a well-orchestrated snowmaking plan relying on a world class system, the temperatures of the last few days were not cold enough to create the snow coverage required for the PwC Tremblant World Cup scheduled for December 7 and 8, 2024. These circumstances have led the organizers to take the difficult decision to cancel this edition. 

“The safety of the athletes, staff and volunteers are our primary concern,” said Peter Gerdol, FIS Race Director of the AUDI FIS Ski World Cup. “Despite the hard work of the Tremblant team and the volunteers, the courses’ snow condition is not suitable for World Cup racing.” 

"I am very proud of the Tremblant team and the volunteers who have worked tirelessly to try and prepare the course for the PwC Tremblant World Cup," said Patrice Malo, President and Chief Operating Officer, Station Mont Tremblant. "We are very disappointed for the fans and the whole Tremblant community who were excited to attend the event. We are already looking forward to hosting the race next season." 

“I know this is disappointing news for everyone involved” said Therese Brisson, President & CEO of Alpine Canada. “The local organizing committee, the Tremblant staff and volunteers who were extra-ordinarily well-prepared and did everything they could, our event partners, the fans who were excited to see the best women ski racers in the world, and the athletes who loved racing here, especially our Canadian athletes who were so looking forward to racing on home snow. This situation makes us even more motivated to host an even better PwC Tremblant World Cup in December 2025. I want to thank our partners, sponsors and donors for their continued support and look forward to seeing everyone next year”.  

The 2025 PwC Tremblant World Cup will be held next December 6 & 7, 2025.
