Get in TouchCalgary, Alberta (Decembre 12, 2025) —The Canadian Para Alpine Ski Team wrapped up its first stop on the World Cup tour with more confidence-building results on Friday in Steinach am Brenner (AUT).
A day after Alexis Guimond and Mollie Jepsen finished first and second in their respective men's and women's super-G races, they repeated their results on the same track.

Guimond, 26, won Friday’s second of two super-Gs, crossing the finish line in 1:12.33 to win his second men's standing race in two days. Like Thursday, he shared the podium with France’s Jules Segers, who finished in second in a time of 1:13.30, and Switzerland’s Robin Cuche, who rounded out the podium in 1:13.39.
The win marked the eighth of the Gatineau native’s career, and brings him to two podiums this season, lining him up to chase last season’s total of six podiums, including five in giant slalom and one in downhill.
In total, Guimond now sits at 39 podiums on the World Cup and now has a hill he has won on three times for the first time.
“Today was great, it was amazing to get two back-to-back victories to start the season, I couldn’t ask for more,” Guimond said after the race. “It’s great momentum to have, and hopefully we carry that through the rest of the season, but this morning I definitely felt the pressure, and I knew I could do it again.”
With his two wins this week, he sits tied for second in the overall World Cup standings and atop the table in super-G.
“The last few days have been very tiring, but I’m really grateful for everybody on the staff and everybody on the team for doing such a good job carrying us, and I think we’re in a really good position.”

On the women’s side, Jensen continued her impressive return to World Cup racing, finishing on the podium for the second time in as many days.
The North Vancouver, BC native finished a tenth of a second (1:17.78)off the USA’s Kelsey O’Driscoll, who won the women’s standing category in 1:17.68. Thursday’s winner, China’s Wenjing Zhu, nabbed the final spot on Friday’s podium, finishing third in 1:18.17.
Jepsen, a six-time Paralympic medalist, missed nearly all of the 2024-25 season and had not raced significantly since the Beijing 2022 Paralympics, dealing with several knee injuries and setbacks.
“I am also really happy with today. For me, after being away from the racing environment for so long, I haven’t focused on results as much as on my skiing, my approach, and setting myself up for success for the rest of the season,” Jepsen said.
“Getting things dialled in and finding a step on the podium is the cherry on top again today. I am honestly just stoked for every day we get on our speed skis. I’m looking forward to more speed next week and continuing to build the momentum with the team.”
With her result, she maintained her position at the top of the World Cup standings, sitting fifth in the overall table and tied for second in super-G.
