ALPINE CANADA CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) INFORMATION

Updated December 1, 2022

Alpine Canada has removed its policy on mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for all participants in any international or national events hosted in Canada for the 2022-2023 season.  The scope of the policy applied to all World Cup, NorAm Cups and National Ski Championships held across Alpine, Para-Alpine and Ski Cross disciplines including all on or off-snow activities or programs that are sanctioned, organized, hosted or funded by Alpine Canada.

This decision was made following a review of the policy alongside the latest advice and expertise from public health officials.  Although COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required by Alpine Canada for participation at international and national events in 2022-23, it is strongly recommended. Public health authorities emphasize that vaccination continues to be a key component in the prevention and transmission of communicable diseases and reduces the burden of severe illness.

Individuals should verify with their respective provincial/territorial or club teams or organizations for any independent policies that may be in place.  Alpine Canada will continue to follow and respect all federal, provincial and local public health guidelines as required or recommended.  We will also continue to monitor the situation and will adjust if needed to provide a healthy and safe environment for all participants, coaches and volunteers.
