Get in TouchCalgary, Alberta (January 16, 2026) —Alexis Guimond (Gatineau, QC) made it two in a row winning today’s FIS Para Alpine World Cup super-G (SG) race in Saalbach (AUT). Coming off a win in downhill in his last race on Wednesday, Guimond, competing in men’s standing, made it three wins in three World Cup SG races this season, and now has seven podiums in 10 World Cup races this season.

“It was a good race today!” said a pleased Guimond. “The course set-up was challenging. In many spots, I felt on the edge and managed to keep my speed through some tough sections. The back-to-back wins are definitely shaping my confidence this season. I feel strong on my speed skis. The team has great momentum and it’s exciting to be a part of it.”

Kurt Oatway (Calgary, AB), in his first World Cup start this season as he has been recovering from injury, raced to third place in men’s sitting for his 28th career podium.
“First race back since being injured in November feels good,” said Oatway. “Being back on the podium after missing a big chunk of the World Cup season, shows me I have a solid foundation of skill to fall back on and will let me build momentum headed deeper into the World Cup season and on to the Paralympic Games in Cortina.”
Mollie Jepsen (West Vancouver, BC) continued her strong season with a third place in women’s standing. Jepsen has now stood on the podium in seven of her 10 World Cup races this season.
“I’m feeling good about my consistency in SG,” said Jepsen. “I’m on pace and some good splits from today. I am still looking for more and excited to keep building on this. Having Kurt and Alexis on the box today was also a big win. The team’s been working really hard and we’re all building well towards Milano Cortina!.”
Michaela Gosselin (Collingwood, ON), also competing in women’s standing, was fifth today for her sixth top five in 11 World Cup starts this season. And Brian Rowland (Merrickville, ON) did not finish today in his first race in his first World Cup SG of the season in men's sitting.
At today’s FIS Ski World Cup men’s super-G in Wengen (SUI) Canada had three men in the points, James Crawford (Toronto, ON) in 20th, Cameron Alexander (North Vancouver, BC) in 24th and Riley Seger (North Vancouver, BC) in 29th. Jeffrey Read (Canmore, AB) placed 37th today while Brodie Seger (North Vancouver, BC) slid off course and did not finish his run.
