Get in TouchCalgary, AB. (December 6, 2025) — It was a thrilling day at today’s PwC Tremblant World Cup as Valérie Grenier (St. Isidore, ON)proudly stood on the podium on her home hill in front of family, friends and thousands of fans.

In the first of two days of women’s World Cup giant slalom (GS) racing, Grenier stood fifth after the first run before vaulting over two competitors to finish third for her fifth career podium and her career best finish at the PwC Tremblant World Cup.

“This is incredible, I don’t really have words to describe it, it feels like a dream,” said a smiling Grenier with tears of joy in her eyes. “I’m so proud to podium in front of my parents, my friends and this amazing crowd. We could hear the crowd from the start and to know that all these people were here to cheer us on helped charge me up.”
“I felt good this morning but I wasn’t focused on the result, just on delivering two good runs. And to go out and put together two good runs feels great. I felt like I’d skied well and when I crossed the finish line and saw the green light it was almost a relief. There’s no time celebrate, we race tomorrow morning, so we’ll look at some video tonight, see the mistakes that we can clean up, and prepare for tomorrow.”

“It means everything to share this with my teammates. I love them so much, they are the best teammates, we push each other so much in training and I wouldn’t be here without them.”
Britt Richardson (Canmore, AB) stood ninth after the first run before finishing 15th for her third straight top 20 this season and her 12th career top 20. Cassidy Gray (Panorama, BC), in her 35th career World Cup GS start, was 21st after the first run and ended the day in 27th place to collect valuable World Cup points.

Other Canadians racing today were Justine Lamontagne (St-Ferréol-les-Neiges, QC), Arianne Forget (Prévost, QC), and making her first career World Cup start, Kendra Giesbrecht (St. Albert, AB).
