About
Cameron, the eldest of the Alexander brothers, is determined to succeed. “Cam,” as his friends and teammates call him, has dealt with challenging injuries throughout his career, but it hasn’t stopped him from achieving excellence.
The North Vancouver, B.C. native captured his first World Cup win in 2021-22, topping the podium in the downhill in Kvitfjell, NOR, after missing out on the Beijing 2022 Olympic squad, earning Canada’s first gold in downhill since Erik Guay won on the same slope in 2014. In 2022-23, he continued his strong form, winning a downhill bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships in Courchevel-Méribel, France.
The 2024-25 season saw him at his best yet, excelling across some of the world’s toughest races, winning bronze in the Kitzbühel downhill, before following it up with a fifth-place finish the next day. That result came after a third-place finish in the Bormio, ITA, downhill earlier in the season.
In total, the 28-year-old has six World Cup podiums and 10 top-10 finishes to his name. Entering the 2025-26 season, he comes off an injury, but will be ready to tackle the world’s toughest races and crack his first Olympic team at Milano-Cortina 2026.
